International Committee for Egyptology Comité international pour l'égyptologie

The Mission of CIPEG is to promote collaboration among colleagues for the study, preservation, and presentation of Egyptian collections, monuments and sites. In addition, it supports collections of Egyptian art and archaeology, including the heritage of the Ancient Sudan, with a special focus on smaller collections, within the framework of ICOM and in close co-operation with the International Association of Egyptologists (IAE). CIPEG also seeks to promote collaboration between museums, universities and research institutes.

L'objectif du CIPEG est d'encourager la collaboration entre les professionnels de musée pour l’étude, la préservation et la présentation des collections, monuments et sites égyptiens. D’autre part, le comité s’intéresse également aux collections d'art égyptien et aux collections archéologiques égyptiennes, y compris le patrimoine de l’ancien Soudan. Il porte un intérêt particulier aux petites collections.
Il agit au sein de l'ICOM et en étroite collaboration avec l'Association internationale des égyptologues (IAE). Le CIPEG encourage aussi la collaboration entre musées, universités et instituts de recherche.
