ICOM is pleased to announce the launch of ICOMMUNITY, its collaborative new web platform dedicated to ICOM members.
6 July 2012 - ICOMMUNITY is designed as a professional network, enabling members to keep up with the network and share information and expertise. News and events are displayed and updated by members themselves. Resources such as reports by topics or learning videos are available online and intended to foster professional development. Discussing specific issues and contributing to ongoing reflection are also possible in user-friendly fashion.
Julien Anfruns, Director General of ICOM, explains: “Designed to be modern, attractive and easy-to-use, ICOMMUNITY is an effective means of reducing the geographic boundaries of the network and encouraging new collaborations and practices within the network. We hope that ICOMMUNITY will be a new way for members to feel as though they are a part of an international professional community.”
ICOMMUNITY was made accessible to all members on Friday, 30 June, and will be improved with new features throughout the end of the year.
