June 2010 - From 1 to 30 June, Africa was being honoured on ICOM Pavilion at the World Expo. African culture and heritage were pointed out through an exhibition about African museums and many activities. On the first weekend, ICOM Pavilion hosted Angolan dances thanks to the collaboration with Angola Pavilion. On the second weekend, four Nigerian coordinators from ICOM CECA organised entertaining activities for the visitors.

Umebe Onyejekwe and Cynthia Iruobe came to present the African cultures to the Chinese visitors, along with two other Nigerian experts. Cynthia Iruobe explained: “This was an exciting experience for me. This ICOM African month broadens the comprehension of other ethnic groups, in their similarity and in their difference.”
