Roundtable discussion on illicit traffic: protecting Cambodian cultural goods

June 2010 - The 6th Red List created by ICOM was launched on 15 June at the French School of Asian Studies (EFEO), Paris. Her Excellency Tan Theany, General Secretary of the Cambodian Embassy for UNESCO, Mrs Jennifer Larson, second Secretary General the United States Embassy for UNESCO and Mr Julien Anfruns, ICOM Director General attended this event.


On the occasion of this launch and to highlight the stakes of the Red List tool, a conference was organised under the theme Illicit traffic: protecting Cambodian cultural goods. Thus, Mrs Nao Hayashi (UNESCO), Mr Bertrand Porte (EFEO), Mr Karl-Heinz Kind (INTERPOL) and Colonel Stéphane Gauffeny (Central Office for the Fight against Traffic in Cultural Goods) took part in the discussion.
