A seminar entitled ‘Heritage Practice in Contested Spaces’ organized by MINOM (International Movement for a New Museology) and ICOM Ireland will take place from September 23rd to 26th at Roe Valley Arts and Heritage Center in Northern Ireland.
Heritage Practice in Contested Spaces Seminar, Limavady
This seminar will provide participants with the opportunity to explore and evaluate the impact of heritage work in their communities. Throughout these 4 days, participants will be able to identify best practices for heritage institutions in dealing with both overt conflict and implicit societal tensions such as social status, gender, belief, etc.
International experts will help participants understand the theoretical aspects of these issues, analyse case studies and will share their own experiences in the field in order to develop dialogue and share ideas among participants.
