Two seminars on ethics will take place in March within ICOM’s network.

Two national committees organize seminars on ethics in March

12 March 2012 - The first one-day workshop on ethics, organized jointly by ICOM France and the Service des Musées de France (French national Museums Service) will take place on 21 March, 2012, at the Institut national d’histoire de l’art (Art History National Institute) in Paris. Participants from the French Ministry of Culture, lawyers, independent professionals and experts of the Art market will speak about the theme « Ethics for heritage and museums: history and key issues ».

ICOM Portugal also organizes a thematic seminar on 27 March, 2012. This event will take place in Porto, with the collaboration of the National Museum Soares dos Reis. It will begin by three panels on the theme « Ethics in Museums: news paradigms? », which will be followed by a debate.
