The UNESCO-ICOM Information Centre was created in 1946 and is managed by the ICOM Secretariat. It is situated in the UNESCO Building, 1 rue Miollis - 75732 Paris Cedex 15 (France).
The collections consist of the publications by ICOM, its Committees, the International Museums Office (OIM/IMO), UNESCO — in particular those that concern the protection of cultural heritage. In addition, the Centre holds national legislations on the protection of cultural heritage, international and national museum directories, illicit traffic-related publications and reports, as well as publications on endangered heritage in emergency situations.
More than 3,000 references are indexed in the online ICOM Publications database.
The UNESCO-ICOM Information Centre is open to the public from Monday to Thursday from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, by appointment: contact.
