The Finance and Resources Committee supports the Executive Council to carry out its mission according to ICOM’s interests, objectives and Strategic Plan while adapting to the ongoing evolution of finance. The members of the Committees, whose mandate is renewed triennially, are appointed by ICOM’s President. This Standing Committee collaborates closely with the Ethics Committee and the Legal Affairs Committee. It consults the Executive Council and may seek the Advisory Committee’s competences and experience.

The objectives of the Finances and Resources Committee are as follows:

 

 

  • Support the Executive Council for the long-term guidelines of ICOM and the development of its financial, human and technical resources;
  • Examine ICOM Foundation’s capabilities;
  • Seek reports from the task forces of ICOM Committees to understand better how they work and to set the allocation of resources;
  • Advise ICOM on the allocation of resources according to its priorities and the development of the organisation;
  • Advise ICOM on the potential of its publications.
