The Nominations and Elections Committee has been created in 2002 in order to assist the Advisory Committee, follow up and make recommendations on the nomination and election process of ICOM.

Members are appointed by the Advisory Committee for 3 years. The Committee overviews the elections of the Executive Council and of the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Advisory Committee. 

The objectives of the Nominations and Elections Committee are to review: 

  • the admissibility of candidacies for ICOM elections;
  • the electoral procedure set by the Secretariat.
