Synopsis: This volume of ICOFOM Study Series contains presentations made during the 39th ICOFOM Annual Meeting, which was part of the 24th ICOM General Conference, in Milan. The theme of the meeting - The Predatory Museum - was provocative. The first six papers were deemed both innovative and theoretical. The second section presents case studies. In the third one, the reader will find the presentations of a session dedicated to the Italian museums in the third millennium that was especially organized for this ICOFOM symposium.
