Visiting the visitor : an enquiry into the visitor business in museums.

Synopsis: This book is a collection of 15 essays solicited by ICOFOM following the committee's decison, in 2010, to concentrate for the next three years on the subject of museum visitors. The first meeting, in 2011, in Taiwan, the topic was the Dialogic museum and the visitor experience; at the 2012 meeting, in Tunis, the topic was Empowering the visitor; at the third meeting, in 2013, in Rio de Janeiro, it was the Special visitor. These essays seek to ask new questions, provoke new research and encourage new conclusions.
