Between the 2nd and the 4th of September 2019, the 25th ICOM General Conference is hosting 149 exhibitors in the International Museum Fair and EXPO Forum.
The tradition of hosting an International Museum Fair in parallel of our General Conference started 12 years ago, with the Museum Expert Fair in ICOM Vienna 2007. Through the years, its aim remains the same: to present the latest technological advances available for museums and let participants from all over the world interact with them.
Aside from the debates, round tables and panels, the Kyoto 2019 General Conference will also host the International Museum Fair, which will present the state of the art technology and where participants will be able to interact with the latest technological advances available for museums. This fair provides a unique opportunity for tech companies to display their digital solutions to a global audience of heritage and museum experts.
“The theme of ICOM Kyoto 2019 is “Museums as cultural hubs: The Future of Tradition”. As digital and technological innovations become a bigger part of our daily lives, museums face the challenge of embracing the future in preserving the past. And what an exciting challenge it is!” said Suay Aksoy
We invite all attendees to visit the Museum Fair and EXPO Forum on 2 Sep. 2019n between 12:30 to 18:00, and 3 – 4 Sep. 2019 between 09:00 – 18:00 at Event Hall, New Hall, Annex Hall at Kyoto International Conference Center
