Network ICOM Executive Board Elections 2025-2028: Introducing the Candidates

The 27th ICOM General Conference that will be held in Dubai (UAE) in November 2025, will mark a pivotal moment for the organisation’s institutional and democratic processes with the election of the ICOM Executive Board for the 2025-2028 term of office.

Following the call for candidacies, which ran from 16 September to 16 December 2024, the Nominations and Election Committee (NEC) carefully reviewed all submissions to ensure they met the eligibility criteria outlined in the ICOM Statutes and Internal Rules.

The official list of candidates for the 2025-2028 Executive Board is now available. ICOM members can access it through their ICOM Member Space. A brochure presenting the candidates will also be provided within the statutory deadline.

The elections will be held during the 27th ICOM General Conference, with the results announced at the Ordinary General Assembly meeting on 14 November 2025.

As the organisation’s executive decision-making body, the Executive Board is responsible for overseeing the implementation of strategies set by the General Assembly and ensuring sound management of ICOM’s financial, material, human, intellectual, and technical resources. It also approves the organisation’s annual accounts and safeguards ICOM’s reputation and international standing. For more details, refer to Article 10 – Section 4 of the ICOM Statutes, which defines the Executive Board’s role and responsibilities, or consult the decision-making process infographic to gain a comprehensive understanding of ICOM’s structure and governance.
