Museums and Chill Museum & Chill podcast: MuMo, the Mobile Museum

Museums and Chill is available on Spotify, Google Podcasts and Apple Podcast!

In this new episode of the Museum & Chill podcast, produced by ICOM, we meet Ingrid Brochard, founder of MuMo, the Mobile Museum. This travelling museum of modern and contemporary art aims to bring art to audiences far removed from culture. Ingrid Brochard shares with us her background, the origins of the project, and the challenges encountered in designing a travelling museum.

A museum to promote cultural accessibility

The MuMo, designed in collaboration with designer Matali Crasset, stands out for its desire to make art accessible to everyone, regardless of their geographical location or social situation. Ingrid Brochard talks to us about the early stages in the creation of the MuMo and its mission to democratise access to art for audiences often left on the margins of cultural institutions. She also talks about the MuMo’s future aspirations, in particular its desire to extend its model internationally.
