Museum International Publication of Museum International x ICOM Dubai 2025

We are pleased to announce the publication of the latest edition of Museum International entitled ‘Youth, Intangible Heritage and New Technologies in Museums’.

This issue of Museum International is aligned with the sub-themes of the 2025 ICOM General Conference in Dubai: Intangible Heritage, Youth Power and New Technologies. The conference will take place from 11-17 November 2025 under the theme ‘The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities’.

This issue explores how museums worldwide are responding to several intersecting factors: growing youth engagement, the rapid evolution of digital tools and the fragile yet dynamic landscape of intangible heritage.

The articles in this issue attest to museums’ unique capacity – and responsibility – to function as sites where youth agency, cultural expression and technological experimentation converge to produce new vectors of meaning and connection.

The issue is available on the Taylor and Francis website.
