One year after our first survey on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on museums and museum professionals, the long-term consequences on the sector are still uncertain.
Last year, we published two reports that monitored the evolution of the situation, highlighting the serious difficulties but also the stimuli presented by extended museum closures and generalised lockdowns.
To gather further information and additional data on how the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak is impacting and will affect the museum sector in the short and long term, we are now launching a third global survey. Most of the sections and questions refer to the previous surveys, allowing us to assess the evolution of the museum crisis brought about by the pandemic and its perception by museum professionals. Other questions look at the future of museums, and how they are reacting to the limitations imposed by the closure of physical sites and health restrictions.
Your help is essential to help us assess the situation, understand the most urgent needs of the sector, and bring your interests to the attention of policy makers.
The questionnaire is available in English, French and Spanish, and will remain open for one month, until 15 May 2021. Fill it in and share it!
