The two latest issues of Museum International, ICOM’s academic journal, were dedicated to provenance research. To further discuss this topic and share best practices, ICOM is organising a webinar on 7 October 2026.
The webinar will bring together the editors and several authors of the two issues to discuss provenance research across different types of collections. Speakers will explore the implications and challenges of such research, especially when it comes to collections amassed under colonial contexts. The event will also address what museums and governing bodies can do to promote provenance research in their collections.
The webinar will take place on 7 October 2026 at 1.00pm CET.
