To mark its 80th Anniversary, ICOM invites the public and museum professionals worldwide to explore its dedicated digital exhibition, Museums in Motion: ICOM 80 Years
While the first chapter, published on the occasion of the ICOM June Meetings 2026, used key moments, archival materials and stories from across the ICOM community to retrace the history of the organisation from its founding in 1946 to its role today, highlighting how ICOM has grown, evolved and supported museums worldwide over the past 80 years, we are now particularly excited to announce the publication of the second chapter, which is entitled Partnerships and Collaboration: Shaping the Future of Museums. This chapter will feature exclusive interviews with representatives from ICOM’s longest standing partners, explore highlights and past projects and showcase archival images.
