    Today kicks-off a workshop to strengthen the capac Today kicks-off a workshop to strengthen the capacity of museums in methods of safeguarding and securing collections in Burkina Faso co-organised by ICOM, ICOM Burkina Faso, @ALIPH_Foundation and the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of Burkina Faso🇧🇫For three days, 30 museum curators, their technical teams & agents from the Ministry of Culture will exchange and learn on preventive conservation, designing emergency evacuation plans, digitalisation and more to effectively safeguard museum collections in conflict zones.This workshop is part of a 15,000-dollar project financed by ALIPH and co-managed by ICOM and ICOM Burkina Faso in order to strengthen the safeguarding and securing of the collections of four museums located in conflict zones in Burkina Faso."We are particularly grateful to ALIPH for the mark of confidence placed in the ICOM Burkina Faso Association. Thanks to this support, Burkina Faso will be able to protect the collections of four museums from danger," said Rasmané Kamba, technical advisor representing the head of department of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism of Burkina Faso.
