Conference The Best in Heritage 2020 goes digital

Estimating the consequences of the pandemic and its aftermath, The Best in Heritage organisers concluded to call off this year’s gathering in Dubrovnik, but not the edition itself.

The project remains dedicated to delivering an annual overview of best practices in museums, heritage and conservation. The goal is to offer insights into these award-winning achievements and share them further with both the professional and civil community concerned with care and communication of cultural heritage.

With support from its main partner ICOM, and Europa Nostra, an invaluable partner to the conference for years, The Best in Heritage will produce a series of forty-two video-link interviews with representatives of award-winners from the past year. Two keynotes by last year’s “Project of Influence” laureates, and a special “Spotlight” presentation will be included. The series will start in late June, with roughly three fresh interviews being released weekly.

The finale will be reached at the end of September, when the Jury comprised of six moderators and two last year’s winners will vote for the Best in Heritage and IMAGINES 2020 “Project of Influence”. So, do subscribe to The Best in Heritage YouTube channel, follow the news on Twitter and Facebook, make sure you receive monthly newsletters and dig into the project’s online archive while fresh additions are being prepared.
